Before everyone was aware of the Coronovirus, we made this quick guide to kid-friendly restaurants in Bristol, which is a great article to keep in mind for after we all get through these difficult times.
Kid-friendly restaurants in Bristol
Bristol is a great place for families, not just with the many things that you can do to keep the little ones entertained, but also with the great range of kid-friendly restaurants.
Here are just a few to consider:
Za Za Bazaar
The Za Za Bazaar World Banquet & Bar is a great place to take kids with a great choice of child’s food options. Located at the Bristol Harbourside, Za Za Bazaar is also the biggest restaurant in the UK. The restaurant is open 7 days a week and there are plenty of parking options that are only a few minutes walk away.
If you really love the views of the harbourside, the Riversation is another great option. Riverstation also has a children’s menu to keep the kids happy.
Watershed Cafe Bar
Another great restaurant serving a range of quality food, the Watershed Cafe Bar is also located on the harbourside and includes a children’s menu and facilities including high chairs.
Another great restaurant at the harbourside to consider is Las Iguanas with their Children’s menu.
The Bambalan, located in the centre of Bristol, offers a range of Mediterranean and middle eastern flavoured dishes. If that’s appealing to the kids, then parents will love it too since kids eat free and there’s a Children’s menu available with dishes tailored to the younger taste buds!
Cafe at the New Room
Looking for freshly made and home-baked options? The Cafe at the New Room in the city centre is a great place to have something that’s a bit different from what’s available at the ‘usual’ type of restaurant. Food is locally - and ethically - sourced,
Browns offers a full children’s menu for anyone under the age of 10, while grown-ups can enjoy a range of plant-based dishes, a traditional roast on Sundays and their selected catch of the day.
The Cowshed is focused on providing great food and a relaxing atmosphere for both couples and families. The Cowshed Children's Menu offers nutritional yet tasty dishes which children can enjoy.
As their website says*:
‘you won't find the usual 'chicken nuggets and beans' fayre here; with meats sourced directly from West Country farms via our own butchery company, Ruby and White, and fresh fish from the Cornish coast, we've poured much consideration into this first menu to ensure it's an all-round table pleaser’.
And to make it even more appealing? Each dish only costs £5.95 which includes ice cream dessert!
The Golden Heart
The Golden Heart in Bristol offers a great atmosphere and classic kids food including Mac & Cheese, Breaded Chicken, Battered Cod Goujons, Margherita Pizza and Linguine. They also offer a Spiced Coconut Chicken Curry and Sunday Roast which is available on - yes, you guessed right - Sundays.
Bill’s Bristol Restaurant And Bar
Bill’s don’t just offer a lunch menu for children, they also offer a breakfast menu so if you are planning a busy day in and around the Bristol area then head to Bill’s to get you started! Little Breakfast options include a Pancake Stack, a full Mini-Breakfast with sausages and beans and a healthy Mini Granola.
That’s food sorted. What about accommodation?
