Lets Rock Bristol - Music Festival
Lets Rock Bristol - previously Ashton Court Music Festival - is an outdoor music festival held annually in the grounds of Ashton Court, Bristol, in June.
Let’s Rock! has been leading the way for quality, family-friendly music festivals since 2009. You can bring your own picnic into the main arena however they provide a wide variety of catering on site, including a large BBQ, Indian, Mexican and Chinese.
It is a weekend music festival in South West England featuring a variety of local bands and national headliners. Individual and family tickets can be purchased online from their website. Once you arrive you will be issued with a wristband which allows you to leave and re-enter the festival site if you wish. As it is mainly aimed at local residents, the festival is not widely promoted, but having a B&B near Ashton Court like Whitehouse Guestrooms is ideal as a base for music festivals near Bristol. Bristol Harbour Festival
Bristol Harbour Festival is Bristol's liveliest and largest harbourside event held yearly in mid July. The summer festival features a wide range of entertainment both on and off the water.
Family friendly festival activities include large music stages, dance performances in the dance village, water sports for children, craft stalls, food stalls, shopping, maritime events, street theatre, water displays and circus zones.
All Bristol Harbour Festival activities take place before a backdrop of hundreds of colourful vessels in the floating harbour throughout the weekend. Averaging 250,000 festival visitors, this summer festival is a great day out or weekend away in Bristol, with our B&B only minutes away.
The festival started in 1971 when a collection of boat owners headed to the harbour to save the Brisol docks from being filled in. They succeeded, and the Bristol Harbour Festival has been with us ever since. From babies to teens to the young at heart, all are invited to explore and discover leafy Castle Park over Bristol Harbour Festival weekend.
There’ll be things to make and do, places to get muddy and sandy, singing, storytelling, racing, impressive skills and tricks to learn and plenty of nooks and crannies in which to soak up the atmosphere and watch the wildlife go by. To find out more, please visit Bristol Harbour Festival
